i have a 300 watt amp with a 100 watt bazooka sub. the gain and boost are turned down. wiring is all good otherwise it wouldnt work for the first 15 minutes. should i invest into a capacitor? would i be safe getting a used capacitor? thanks

Is it going into protect mode or just turning off completely?

I had an amp that did this for a while.....at first it was getting moisture inside of it and putting it into protect mode.

Then it did it again but it was turning completly off.....turned out to be a ad ground....my ground was tight and everything....and on a good metal surface...but it just wasnt cutting it...so I relocated the ground and it worked fine from then on out.

could also be something heat sync related......just like the xbox 360 RROD! lol

well before when my gain on my amp was about halfway it would turn off then turn back on right away and id hear the sub turning on and off, now that my gain is really low it just turns off for about 30 seconds then turns back on, then about 5 minuts later the same thing. thanks ill move my ground
