Question About amp/sub
Question About amp/sub
I currently have an Dual xpa4640 600W amp with a dual 12" 500W SD12 sub hooked up in my car. The LOC is wired via the wiring diagram from http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/....asp~TID~86090 the amp turns on and the sub kicks a little but can barely hear it. I have tweaked with the dials on the amp and LOC with no luck. Do any of yall have any ideas what I should do to get it to kic hard or will that combination not work correctly? I have the one sub bridged between channel one and channel two.

Re: Question About amp/sub
most LOC's have gain adjustments on them. make sure those are turned up max. then use your amp gain. probably need a tiny #0 phillips screw driver. that's how small mine were.

Re: Question About amp/sub
you'll probably have some bass, but not as much. i had a 300w amp on a 150w sub and it pounded without the gain all the way up. that amp died and i bought a 150w amp thinking it would be perfect for the sub. i had to leave the gain all the way up and it still wasn't as loud as before. so that may be your problem.
