Subwoofer power question

Hi Honda people!
Long time owner, first time poster.
I recently bought a little Boss subwoofer and while waiting for delivery found a PDF manual for it. Here's the power wiring instructions:
"Connect an empty fuse holder within 18" (45 cm) of the car battery, and run 8 gauge
(or heavier) cable from this fuse to the amplifier location."
Where would you guys connect the power wire?
Thanks for any ideas!

Re: Subwoofer power question

you connect the power wire to the battery with either wire connector ( the rings), and run it back to the amp or capacitor.

Direct to the battery sounds best. Is there an easy way to get the wire thru the firewall?
