Need help Identifying this electronic component

i am trying to identify an electronics component so i can fix a transformer for a neon light tube and am coming up short for its technical name. if you can help me out it would be appreciated.

thats a transformer. no not the 80's robots

looks like a center tap one too.

what did it come out of and how do u know it's bad?

EDIT: not to be picky but the box that drives the neon light is called a ballast or inverter

yep, that's just a plain transformer. yes, neon's use a transformer, as do fluorescents and HID's, but the complete package with tranformer, capacitor, regulator or whatever else is controlling the lights is commonly referred to as a ballast.
