what kinda alarm people running these days and what to recommend for me

im not a big audio person. i dont have any audio in my car but a headunit. my car is more race inspired. anyway just got the k done and looking into a state of the art alarm. cost is no option but like it to be under $500. im sure i can get something in that range. been looking on vipers website and compustar but really dont know what to be looking for. any websites u guys know of where i can order one online. the audio shops around here are a joke so i need to order online. ebay isnt an option. dont trust it. thanks

i used to have audio galore and had an alarm but now with my new civic i aint touchin it with any audio whatsoever!
im trying to make this as quick as possible meaning as little weight as possible, ive gone and got a CF hood, removed the spare tire, tools, some other stuff just to shed the lbs off.

imho....no audio....no alarm! WaStE!

when u get this let me know. u need an alarm to protect ur things. just like i stated in my first post. even though i bought a daily driver im not getting it til nov/dec. when my car is locked in my garage i want it protected. its only coming out for shows and track but when im away i want it still to be safe. im not taking no chances.

Re: what kinda alarm people running these days and what to recommend for me

well I got the Viper 791XV..pretty good, I love the remote start n the lcd screen so if ne one touchs my car, I can see it heh, it is hella expensive but if u got the $ go for it.. if u dont want the lcd screen theres one a bit cheaper that does the exact same..

i have a viper 5 point alarm system (doors, hood, trunk, vibration) and it came with an anti-starter (which is annoying but works)
