People that know about car subwoofers help.

I'm undecided on which of these two subs I want. I like both Rockford & Kicker equally. I'm looking for a quality sub that would produce clean tight bass, I'm not looking for Loudness (SPL). I want mostly Sound Quality. Two 12's in a sealed box.

1) Kicker CompVR CVR124

Size: 12 inch
Sensitivity: 86.7 dB
Frequency Response: 25-500 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 400W
Peak Power Handling: 800W
Impedance: Dual 4 ohms

2) Rockford Fosgate P3D412

Size: 12 inch
Sensitivity: 85 dB
Frequency Response: 27-250 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 500W
Peak Power Handling: 1000W
Impedance: Dual 4 ohms

Basically, Fosgate or Kicker?
And what does Frequency Response and Sensitivity mean?

I'd go with the Kicker subs. Frequency response is how low the sub can play, measured in hertz. The lower the response does not necessarily mean a better speaker. Sensitivity is uh.... well I can't put it in words, but the higher the better.

sensitivity is how much the sub moves based on 1 watt? i believe. its been a while, but the higher the better. takes less power to make more noise (bass)

go with the kickers, I still have two of those that have been hooked to a JL audio 100/1, Phoenix gold 600.2 T, JBL Crown amp and others and yet to blow them
