Are alloy wheels serialized to the car?

I'd like to know if the OEM alloy wheels serial numbers are tied to the vehicle they come from. I'm looking at some wheels but I don't want to buy stolen ones.

Never heard of that but wouldn’t surprise me on something like a BMW or Audi. I have never a serial number on a wheel.
