Arrow 99 Civic Si

hey guys, new to the forum and got my project car (1999 Civic Si) and wanna make it a monster eventually, but for now im gonna get new rims and tires. i was wondering how wide can i go with my tires before i start having issues with rubbing, etc. they came with 205's, and i wanna go to 225's if possible. on 17's. any and all help is appreciated. thank you.

You could probably fit something with 225s as long as the offset is like +40 or +45.

probably a dumb Q but what is the offset? to my understanding its the like the dish of the rim. and is +40/+45 millimeters?
