Changing tire aspect ratio

My 05 Civic needs P185/65R15. I would like to change to winter tire. I happen to have 4 tires of the size P185/60R15. Can I make use of these tires? Would there be any problems?

Re: Changing tire aspect ratio

You can use them. Your speedometer will be a little off but not by much.

It will be about 3% less. So if your doing 60 your will actually be doing about 58.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Changing tire aspect ratio

They will be a wee bit shorter than stock.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
185/60-14 4.4in 11.4in 22.7in 71.4in 887 0.0%
185/65-14 4.7in 11.7in 23.5in 73.7in 859 3.2%

EDIT: Damn it didn't copy.
