Red face broken front wheel lugs

After having tire blow out on 1994 Civic EX, I broke two of the studs trying to change right front tire. New stud bolts won't fit into the hub. Is there a trick to replacing these? Any advice is appreciated!

Re: broken front wheel lugs

Put them in the freezer overnight, so they shrink a little, then hit them with a hammer. You might need to use a press.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: broken front wheel lugs

I use a flat faced (lug)nut and a stack of greased washers to pull the stud in past the splines.

Re: broken front wheel lugs

Same as ezone. You just need to build up a layer over the stud so you can use the nut to pull them into place.
