Question Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 tires any good?

Hi guys,

I need to replace all the tires on my car. I live in NY and I need All Season tires. Im thinking about getting the Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 tires. Has anyone tried Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 tires on their car and how is their quality? Is there a lot of road noise and how is the wear on them?

I know you guys will say not to go cheap with tires and I understand why but I need replacement tires for now. My car is not modded for extra performance. I also do not drive the car far or a lot. My average round trip is less than 10 miles and local roads. I may also travel 150 highway miles once every other month to visit family.

I checked Tirerack but there are no reviews for a similar tire size.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Jim

The following may not be helpful in your decision process but I just want to say...

...I'm a firm believer of what you pay is what you get (sometimes). And Hankook tires were always on the bottom of the list of all my years of purchasing tires. However, after much research & reading reviews, the Hankook tires were highly recommended by a lot of Tundra owners. Yes, I also own a '08 Tundra. I was a bit weary at first but decided to give them a try. I was amazed at how well they performed and how quiet they sound.

So, the moral of the story is Hankook have improved dramatically. If these are their new line of tires I'd seriously consider them. By the way, I get my tires through Discount Tires. They price match and provide warranty (replacement/repairs/rotation for the life of the tires). Heck of a deal.

Just my .02

Now, let's just wait for that idiot to post something negative about my post. Y'all know who I'm talkin' about. LOL!

I went with some bridgestones when I bought mine, I would agree, dont buy cheap tires. Your brakes are really only as good as your tires allow them to be.

Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 tires any good?

Here's my 5 cents worth of input: I had used a set of Hankook winter tires on a full size domestic car and I was very happy with them. In fact, as biased as it may sound, I ended up replacing the old Hankooks with new Michelin X-Ice only to find that, despite the wear and tear on the Hankooks I liked the grip of the old tires better than that of the new Michelins.
I have recently got a used Civic. I love it. Just got a set brand new ENKEI 17" rims for it and after doing some research as to what was/is available in the appropriate tire size, am intent on getting a set Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 tires for it.

I don't believe in penny pinching on your tires, but I'd caution not to confuse the words "less expensive" with "cheap".

I've read some reviews of this tire and there are a lot of thumbs up.
I can update any potential undecided buyers once put them to my own test. All the best!
