08 civic rear suspension problems

my 08 civic rear tires were wearing unevenly so i made an appt with the dealer. they told me that honda would replace defective suspension parts and do an alignment at no cost to me, but that they wouldn't replace the tires. the car has 29k miles, but the problem, they say, is that i didn't bring the car in for regular rotation, and the tires are only supposed to last 30k-40k miles anyway. if they freely admit that the parts are defective shouldn't they also replace the tires? any help or ideas on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 08 civic rear suspension problems

I think I'm gonna have to side with the dealer on this one... if the tires weren't rotated regularly, and they already have 30k miles on them, even if there was no suspension issue, you'd be looking at new tires soon anyway. Tires can last anywhere from 25-50k if taken care of and rotated properly.
