Re: brakes for 2002 civic

I have heard good thing about HAWK HPS or HP+... The + are more racing style and the HPS are more street driving style of pads. For rotors I'd go with brembo blanks if you want really good brake rotors. OEM rotors are pretty good as well...

HAWK pads you can just google.
OEM rotors you can find at majestic honda for about 50 bucks each... I think brembos are more. Just make sure you don't go drilled or slotted, as they cause more trouble than they are worth.

hawk hps pads ive heard good things, i have a pair but havent used em yet. i have brembo blanks now and hate them. they rusted over completely after two days, and they are very loud when stopping and turning (using oem honda pads). never again. oem rotors are the best. very quiet and has a rust coating.

Strange.. I heard good things about Brembos and lots of people recommend them... But, if you have tried it I will take your word for it for sure... OEM for me next time. I picked up cheap rotors from Napa and they are already warped. Not even 6000 miles on them (GRR).. They were cheap that's not the big deal, but now I have to spend another hour or so on the car to replace them... That's going to wait until spring though.
