Learning- Rims

Hey all. Noob here.
So. I'd like to do some learning.
I may be getting a Civic Sedan ['08 or '09] If I want to put rims on, what kind of restrictions will there be? I'm thinking of 17". I saw TSW wheels and I like the recessed hub/spoke design. Will they fit or will the entire wheel protrude past the wheel well due the hub being sunk into the wheel?

any bigger than 17" with about 215/50R17 and ur gonna be bottoming out the tires in the wheel well and chop down ur turning radius.....both will cause unnecessary wear on the tread

Just out of curiosity, why would you have to replace axles?

I disagree.
Ive had 15s, 17s and 19s on the car and my axles are just fine (the 19s were driven for 40K straight).
