Re: Need some help with tires.
tires are all about preference, all u have to do is check the tires specifics, what treadwear will tell u how long they should last, anywhere from 60 to 800, 800 being the highest, longest lasting, about 80,000, then look at traction and temperature ratings, tractions highest being AA, and dont be fooled, traction is all about braking in the wet, not about takeoff, and temperature, A being the highest, c being the lowest, A is a summer tire, B all season, and C winter, with some exceptions, as far as noise, a blocky, chunky tire will be noisier, especially with camber problems, where a solid outer tread will be quieter(i.e. goodyear eagle f1 gsd3), if i were u id check out discounttire.com, and tirerack.com because they usually have the best selections and prices, and i think discount tire has free shipping(dont quote me on that) directionals will usually end up in better performance, but some prefer not to have em because u cannot change sides when rotating, and some shops dont pay attention and do it anyway, but this choice is all up to u, and what tread pattern u like, just keep in mind, the longer the life of the tire, the longer ur gonna have it, and if u dont like it u might be stuck with it... hope this helps, good luck
