Need some help with tires.

What I'm looking for:

-QUIET (most important)
-Summer tire
-215/45s
- < $100 each
-Decent mileage/performance

What I'm asking for...EXPERIANCE. I look at reviews on the websites and one person will say that specific tire is the best one out there..then another will say they got 10000 miles on it and it was shot....what they don't say is "my camber was way off" and what not...so let me know what you guys think...

Buy this tire:

http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Eneogen

from this site:
www.discounttiredirect.com

Here is the direct link:
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...r=45&tc=NITHZ6

The 215/45/17 is $96.00 per tire with free shipping.

I like the 215/40/17 at $92.00 with free shipping.

These are my favorite tires, they are great! The inside block has a harder compound than the outside. This is good for even where on off camber cars.

Re: Need some help with tires.

tires are all about preference, all u have to do is check the tires specifics, what treadwear will tell u how long they should last, anywhere from 60 to 800, 800 being the highest, longest lasting, about 80,000, then look at traction and temperature ratings, tractions highest being AA, and dont be fooled, traction is all about braking in the wet, not about takeoff, and temperature, A being the highest, c being the lowest, A is a summer tire, B all season, and C winter, with some exceptions, as far as noise, a blocky, chunky tire will be noisier, especially with camber problems, where a solid outer tread will be quieter(i.e. goodyear eagle f1 gsd3), if i were u id check out discounttire.com, and tirerack.com because they usually have the best selections and prices, and i think discount tire has free shipping(dont quote me on that) directionals will usually end up in better performance, but some prefer not to have em because u cannot change sides when rotating, and some shops dont pay attention and do it anyway, but this choice is all up to u, and what tread pattern u like, just keep in mind, the longer the life of the tire, the longer ur gonna have it, and if u dont like it u might be stuck with it... hope this helps, good luck

Re: Need some help with tires.

For the record, my camber and other alignmets are in spec...that's not an issue. i have directional tires now and they are NOISY NOISY NOISY and I just can't take it anymore....plus they're almost shot and need to be balanced...to say the least is sucks riding in my car right now...

Alpha 5, how are the Neo Gens on noise??

Re: Need some help with tires.

215/45 what? 17?
AVS ES100s have gotta be the best bang for buck tire. Thats a pretty universal opinion.
Hankook z212s are good too, but they probably break the $100 mark. My friends all have Kumhm SPTs... say they're good (and definitely cheap).... I've never personally screwed around on them though.

They are a little louder than stock but not much. I love them.
