Need Nuts

Hi all,

just bought a set of Si mags for my 07 Civic 4dr and need the proper size of lug nuts (the previous owner kept the his). The original ones I have stick out too much. I know it's a 12x1.5 thread but I need the proper height.

Thanks!

A honda lugnut is a honda lugnut.
Go to honda and buy "Si lugnuts", I bet they're exactly the same, the shape of the wheel is different.

Re: Need Nuts

The lugs that came with my 05s Fat 5s also stick out further than others I have seen so I ordered what the parts manual listed and recieved the one shown in the package in the attachment. The other lug is what is currently in place.

I left the longer ones in place, the mating surface at the wheel was the same on both and the larger lugs seem more heavy duty.

This may help, may not.

Re: Need Nuts

Well thats amusing, and i stand corrected... I just looked it up, the steelie takes one nut, the standard civic alloy wheel takes another, and the Si wheel takes a third. The length of the nut has to do with how much stud sticks out from the seat of the wheel.... if there isnt much, then you dont need a huge long nut, any of the 3 will work provided it doesnt bottom out before it tightens the wheel on. I didnt compare the length of the studs by part number or anything, make sure if you go to the super short ones... its long enough to reach the wheel before it bottoms out.

Re: Need Nuts

Thanks all!!

Found the proper nuts for these wheels. Short stubbies just under an inch tall. The guy who sold them to me had the unfortunate luck of having his car stolen and had his set on hand that he obviously didn't need anymore. He sold them to me a $2 a pop. Honda wanted $6?!
