Changing Tires out

Right now on my civic I have the original 16' rims and normal tires which makes the whole wheel roughly 23" all the way. I have some honda accord alloy rims & tires I want to swap, the rims at 17' but it has lower profile tires that still make the total wheel 23". Will changing these out screw with my car? Any input is appreciated thanks!

Re: Changing Tires out

civic and accord 4 lug have a totally different lug pattern so it wont fit. Unless its a universal one with 8 holes then yes it will fit cuz it can fit both bolt patterns.....

Re: Changing Tires out

The left picture is the wheel im trying to put on, and the right is the one on my car now. The pattern looks the same and they measure the same amount apart. Will this mess with my speedometer though?

Re: Changing Tires out

As long as the total wheel size is the same (like you said) then it will be fine.

Re: Changing Tires out

Where is the speed read from? Im thinking its the transmission but if its the wheel then there might be a problem.

Re: Changing Tires out

depends on where you're referring to since the speedometer is read from the transmission whereas the ABS system picks up its speed from hub/spindle mounted sensors
