Looks like another round of airbag inflator replacements?

"The vehicles involved in this recall were previously repaired using specific Takata desiccated replacement inflators (PSDI-5D) or entire replacement airbag modules containing these inflators, neither subject to recall at that time. Those replacement inflators are now deemed defective."

Check your cars VIN regularly.
How can this forum help make all users aware of recalls? Should we cross post to all generations affected? Make it a sticky?

Dude, check your own VIN

and recheck it on a regular basis because they keep adding more and more cars, and we are replacing units that have already been replaced multiple times

Just checked my VIN and I have a new outstanding recall (I suspect this latest airbag recall as I have been waiting for it). I have contacted the dealer for more info. I have already had the driver's and passenger's airbag recalls done.

"An outstanding recall or product update campaign has been identified for your vehicle. However, the description document for this campaign is not yet available. It will be posted shortly. For immediate assistance, please contact your Acura dealer or Acura Canada Client Services at 888-9ACURA9 for more information."

I stopped by the dealership one day to ask, I have also had driver and passenger airbag recalls done. What I was told was the airbags that were used to replace the originals were just newer Takata's. There were no other suppliers at the time so the old airbags were replaced with new ones that would be good for a few years until the permanent fix was available.

My recall is for the passenger's airbag again. I have parts on order and will have it replaced at the dealer.

Received the recall letter from Acura Canada last week. Had the recall performed yesterday at the dealership. Took half an hour.
