Hi Everyone,
My name is Gerald. I am a 33 year old male from Canada.
I recently bought a 2002 dx sedan. I was looking for something to tinker on that would be good on gas to daily to work. I bought the civic since they have a solid reputation with a strong aftermarket.
Unfortunately I knew nothing about civics at the time and bought one with a D17A1 engine. Oh well guess its gonna be low and slow. That's okay with me though as the main purpose is to tinker with it and learn some new skills on a budget; and to possibly autocross in the summer for kicks.
I've done a few resto/upgrades so far:
Painted hubcaps, wiper arms, and trunk, plastic coil cover
Installed K&N typhoon short ram air intake
new brakes all around
fixed leaking power steering o-ring
Made a DIY mesh grill (check the videos on youtube, also have one for the intake install ( )
Bought a skunk2 shift **** but have not installed yet.
If the link doesn't work, check out my channel directly by looking up GERALD-OO-SEVEN on youtube.
Thanks Everyone, hope you all have a great day. I am thrilled to be part of the civic nation!

Yeah, I have been having a blast. It's the first manual transmission I've owned. At 33 lol, better late than never I guess.
Thanks for for taking the time to reply to the new guy.
