05 1.7EL Same as Si?
05 1.7EL Same as Si?
Hey All,
I have a 2005 Acura 1.7 EL, does anyone know if mechanically they are the same as the Civic Si's? Will an after market Si Exhaust bolt up the same way to an EL? Would other parts such as intakes and headers also fit the same?
Thanks

Re: 05 1.7EL Same as Si?
same as EX in US models are different to non-EX models.
Si in Canada are the EX in US, Si in US are the Si-R in Canada. slight differences.
more info if you look for EX - not as many canadian members around here.

Mechanically, EL's are exactly the same as an American ES2.
Visually, the fenders, hood, headlights, tail lights, trunk and bumpers are different.
The interior is also leather compared to the civic.
Functionality wise....exactly the same.
Performance parts you will be looking for Canadian Si, and American EX models.
They should bolt right up no problem.
