2001 honda civic problem

Hey everyone, let me start off by saying this is a great forum. I bought a 2001 honda civic. I'm having trouble identifying one what type of civic(ex,hx) so on. And what engines in it. I was told by the previous owner it was an engine swap and I was stupid and didn't ask what kind and now I lost his phone number. I tried looking where some people claim to be a mark but there nothing on mine. The civic is also de badged. I took pics of the engine and the car itself idk if anyone would be able to tell me what I have here. I would appreciate it. Thank you very much

Go here and type your vin into the applicable box. It'll return what year and trim level

Seeing as how you have ABS, A/C, and cruise control, is say it was an EX. Even if it were an engine swap, coulda been just a replacement with the same engine

Ya looks like an a2 to me too. The egr and vtec are the giveaways. Does it have a sunroof? EX to my knowledge is the only trim level that had it. And what size wheels? If they are stock the ex had 15s
