Thumbs up 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

I am looking to try to clean up my engine bay on my EM2, and haven't found much useful info yet on here regarding wire tucks and shaving engine bays for our chasis'....more specifically relocationg fuse box, and other major components/relays, etc. Anyone who has any pictures/comments/tips regarding this, please post away so that people can benefit from your knowledge. Thanks!!

Re: 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

well, I def. searched and saw no pics, and moder. to no significant talk on this.....hopefully this generates a good thread for us to talk about methods specific to our chasis, and give opportunities to show what we have done thus far.....relocating batteries to trunks is covered thoroughly, but hiding battery wires, grounds, relocating engine components, wiring, hoses lines is what I'm talking about....eager to see whats out there, so let me know...

Re: 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

So, you will be running with no ABS, PS, or AC, right?? Where did you relocate the fuse box to, and did you have to extend/cut any wires to do it?
Looks like a good start!! Keep up the good work man.....

Re: 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

No chance the wires could have been through into the passenger footwell without cutting wires? Probably not, but just a thought

Re: 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

^^ yea but just think about that, that is alot of work just to get to one small popped fuse.....thats why i opt to put it inside on the passenger side floor.

Re: 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

yeah, but it is still somewhat exposed in the engine bay too then....at least still easy for water to splash onto it or rain to get to it, yet thats where it is placed.....but, I understand what you're saying

Re: 7th Gen Wire Tucks / Shaved Bays??

most ppl and ease of access is passenger side of the car... under the dash.. on honda tech.. they gots tons of i dea's and im gonna rock the D series wire tuck here in the next feww weeks..battery-trunk; fusebox-underdash; and ABS is gone, never had it, and the PS i might remove it and crusie control took 2 mins to get out... hids are more secure and hidden under the frame beneath the headlights.. and headlight harness is going the same place under the fender! wish for more luck..stay tuned!
