Glass under waranty?

OK, back in the summer, I came out one morning and there was this big crack in my glass. It started in the seal right above the rearview mirror, then went down about 2 inches, then over about 4 inches. It keeps spreading, and the crack now instead of just going 4 inches goes about 12 inches now, and then down another 3.5
My question is, is this covered under the waranty? I am pretty sure that rock chips aren't, but this just came from nowhere. Thanx in advance.

You would have to prove somehow that it wasn't a rock chip and indeed a flaw in the glass.

theres a known problem in some of the 2001s where the glass was seated on an uneven surface which causes it to crack, if the crack started from the edge of the glass, its covered

If it isn't covered under warranty, it is covered by your insurance company. Glass replacement carries no deductible.

So, if it costs $150 for a new window and your deductible is $500, it's covered and you don't have to use any of your own money. Check out your policy, there should be something in there that says something to the effect of "window replacement" or "glass replacement"

Hopefully, it's covered under warranty, but if not, I hope this helped.
