Manufactures waranty?

This might have already been answered somewhere, sorry. But does any one know what does and doesn't void the waranty?

the only way that the warranty will be voided is if the mod that you put in, ie intake or something, is the cause of another problem inthe engine...but the dealers have to prove that the aftermarket mod is the cause of the problem.

or just contact your dealer and ask. each dealer is different, so if you don't like their answer, go to another one.

yeah, a mod has to be PROVEN to cause a problem for the warranty not to cover it. if the dealer tells you otherwise, either go to another dealer or go over their head (call american honda). its always better to take mods off before taking your car in anyway to avoid the hassle of the dealer blaming it on the mod. remember though that the dealer saying "oh we think this problem was caused by this mod" is NOT the same as PROOF that the mod caused the problem

and yes, this question has been answered before, MANY times before

thanks i just wanted to know because i just bought exhaust and some people say that can even void it. but others say only if you bolt on to the engine it self ie. headers. But i,ll go ask one of my dealers and see what they say. thanks again.

I only see the reason they Void the warranty is when you modified something in your car. Like the suspension. But I think Intake is the last thing they will Blame if problem is somewhere from engine or mechanical problem. Its just an intake right. I mean car can run without an Intake but dirt will enter your throttle Body but your car will still run. That's why I can't think of a reason why would they blame intake for the source of an engine problem. Its only a filter that suck air and making sure clean air are coming from an engine. That's all it do no moving parts no nothing its just a filter. Like the one use on your vacum cleaner. Or Brita Water filter making sure that it traps the dirt out.

i know what intake does, no offence, thats the fisrt thing i did to my car but i was wondering about exhaust and headers. i jsut bought exhaust and was just wondering about that i heard stuff from diferent people that exhaust might void it. but its full cat-back and its bolt on no welding so i think i should be ok. but thanks for your comment, i know intake doesn't void it i asked i just haven't asked about exhaust and headers which i will soon.
