Short story: A while ago I picked up a 92' civic ex sedan as a beater. Last night I get home to realize that somewhere along the way driving home, the top cover of my sunroof apparently un-glued itself and flew off the car.- No I couldn't recover it, and no other cars were around to get hit.

As I was searching today for a replacement sunroof, I realized that everything I find has a glass sunroof. My car though, did not have a glass sunroof, it just had a metal cover on the top that was just painted white like the car.

I read that a lot of these cars have aftermarket sunroofs. So I'm trying to figure out if it is OEM or not. Did these cars ever come with a non-glass sunroof? Or maybe somewhere along the road the glass was removed and someone installed a metal cover?

It does look to me like it's an original sunroof. It has the original sunroof controls on the dash. And it works as normal, it tilts up, and it slides back hidden inside the ceiling.

So let me know what you guys think, I need to get a replacement before the car gets flooded, thanks!

Yes, that model came with a sunroof/moonroof but, not a metal lid. Maybe somebody fabbed one for it.

cheap ebay for a used one. im not sure but i thought most hondas had moonroof (glass)

Yeah I was thinking of just getting an entire replacement sunroof with the glass, they're about $100-$150. Unless I can find another lid somehow.
