Windshield wiper issue

I have a 1992 Civic 4dr sedan and my wipers do not work on the intermittent setting but they do work on the other two settings. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Intermittent wipe is controlled by the integrated control unit inside the fuse box. Best you can do is get a good wiring diagram and voltmeter and test the switch functions and wiring continuity checks. If those are ok then it's likely the control unit
