1991 civic problem........

so my baby was overheating. i changed the thermostat, the old was really really bad. but my question is when i start the car the fans by the radiator dont move. is this normal or do they only engage when the car is getting too hot, so they cool the radiator??

It's normal. Fans are electric, and are supposed to only operate when needed.

It's normal mate, they operate when it gets to a certain degree to cool the car down. Just because its a 1991 doesn't mean that it's old. Honda put a lot of good work ^.^
