Found A 2000 Honda Civic Si
Hey, all, I'm new so I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but anyways...
I recently found a 2000 Honda Civic Si with 230,000 miles on it. The guy is asking $4000, but said he would do $3700. It has a carbon fiber hood, new timing belt, and seems like it runs fine. I do want it but am uncertain about it. I'm afraid that I'll get the car and be excited, but then something will just mess up with the engine soon after. I'm not really experienced with Honda's so I came here for some help. Any advice would be appreciated, and SHOULD I GET IT????
P.S. Is there anything else I should check for?

Re: Found A 2000 Honda Civic Si
i know civics hold their value well, but wow i can't believe it's still worth that much! http://www.kbb.com/honda/civic/2000-...mileage=230000
so i checked and it is lmao. granted it's in good condition, shifts well, and runs good (no knock or tick) i'd say try to low ball him and then work your way up. maybe start at like 3k cash in hand and see what he says. good to hear it has new timing belt; ask for a receipt. carbon fiber hood +1 lol. take it for a good test run before you make an offer; most civics you buy used these days have been driven less than nicely.

Re: Found A 2000 Honda Civic Si
Well, I bought the car and it seems fine, however, the ac makes a bit of a weird noise and the car smells like oil after driving. It is NOT burning oil though, so I don't know what the problem is. Anyone?
