Power steering
Power steering
Hi everyone I'm new here & I have a question. I have a 1995 honda civic dx with a jdm d15b non vtec swap & there's no power steering. It's a pain to drive lol & I wanna get it fixed. How do I fix the problem & what do I need to buy?
Re: Power steering
Depends what all was removed.
If it was all removed, you need:
lines/hoses, cooler, reservoir, and of course the power steering pump and belt.
Try a local junk yard, or ebay

Re: Power steering
Your model doesn't come with PS so, you have to find the whole system (including the rack) from a donor car. Any EX coupe or any model sedan from '92-'95 will work. May be others but, i don't know. You'll have to pull the rack from the donor and rebuild it. Then you need to find a rebuilt compressor (reservoir usually comes with it). Besides those you need hoses, belt, pump bracket, and possibly the correct steering column. There's no cooler for the PS, that only comes on "fancy" cars.
