Hey Guys,
I have an electrical problem that I have been trying to fix for a few months now. My car just dies. The power slowly drains and then eventually dies with hardly any power for the hazards. The same song and dance with gauges and radio going first then within minutes the car dies. I have replaced the alternator twice in since November 2011. Before that I had the alternator in the car for three years. The battery was replaced in December of 2011. So....now I am staring to get the signs again. Gauges flashing, window slowly going up, and of course the radio going on and off. Please help me before I have to take her to Honda. I do all my own work but I would like to figure this one out instead of paying somebody else. Thanks!

need a little bit more info, when you jump it after losing power, does the battery recharge to 12.5 volts. Do you have all your grounding wires fastened. The flashing gauges sounds like a poor ground. I would especially look at the wire from the alternator to the battery. Sounds like juice from the alternator is not getting to the battery and you are running the car just off the battery.

When I changed out the last alt the battery recharged. The battery now has a charge of 12.60. I just checked it. The alt is grounded. Where should I go from here?

look under the dash on the fuse panel. i believe its fuse 15. its blown. 15amp

I checked my 15 and 30 amp under the dash and all were good. Should I run through the 10 amps? Oh and thanks for the replies.

As the problem gets worse I notice some more slight issues....windows roll down slower and sometimes the gauge lights shut off for about 10 seconds.
Should I take her in to be worked on?

when the car is running and you test battery power its 12ish? alt is not charging. you should see a steady 13 to 14 v while running.
also make sure it did say alt fuse. not to question your integrity but i just wanna make sure. have seen this exact thing before. how long can you drive till it dies.

the fuse panel you pull off tells you the placement. or you can search it. also check that the ground is clean and the fat wire is secure to alt. also check the plug. but i think its the alt fuse if u can drive a few miles before it dies.

So....it was a fuse. Once I found the blown fuse the car stopped acting up.
