Engine swap for 92 Civic CX

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I recently just bought my first Civic. It is a 92 Civic CX with the D15B7 engine, it's alright I guess but I want to swap it out. I'm currently thinking between B16A or a B18B, I'm not to familiar with the B series but from what I hear it's the way to go. I will probably eventually be putting on a turbo.

Also I am just curious if a vtech and a turbo could work together?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Engine swap for 92 Civic CX

VTEC (not VTECH) and turbo work fine together. Small boost is usually ok on stock internals. For bigger boost you'll need upgraded internals (rods, spring, etc). Also, with a turbo you'll need engine management (K-PRO, etc) and a tune by a qualified shop. *Be careful, there are some very dishonest shops out there.
