This is my '95 Honda Civic Ex. I bought this car back in April, and I am now looking to start working on it as I come up with the money... I haven't figured out what I want to do to my car yet, all I know is I want to complete the interior, work on the exterior paint (next spring/ summer), do some mods to the engine that could benefit performance (but I'm mainly trying to increase my MPG), add HID headlights, and maybe touch on suspension (however I know nothing about it).
The car has a D16Z6, and there hasn't been too much done to it (other than a rebuilt tranny) that I'm aware of... I don't know much about engines, but I would like to learn more and maybe do some things to it... I am going to keep it NA.
When I purchased the car the interior was in pieces... I only had the shell of the dash and doors in it.. I am currently in the process of installing all of the pieces and repainting them. When I'm done it will be a mixed metallic blue and black.
Me and the previous owner are into stereos.. I have already installed my own, and it pulls ~43 amps (for the moment). The car has an 80 amp alternator in it. When I drive at night, my lights will frequently dim and brighten, even with the stereo OFF. I have had the battery and alternator checked by multiple places and they all say they're both in great condition... I don't know what the problem could be, but the previous owner told me it's been like that since he bought the car (11 or so years ago). If you have any suggestions of what could be causing this and how to fix it that would be great!
If anyone could give me ideas of things I can do to my car to improve looks, performance, mpg, or handling please let me know! Thanks for the help!
