Rep Power: 0 1995 Honda Civic DX Hatchbook? Sunroof as an option?
Sorry first off.. I've tried searching for this topic but I can't seem to find an answer at all..
I'm going to look at an 1995 civic hatchback DX.. The guy has did an engine swap in it from 1.5l to 1.6l and the DX has a sunroof..
I'm just wondering if the dx came as an option from the factory with sunroofs or maybe it was an sunroof skin wrap but on it? Is there anything else that I should go look at tomorrow carefully in this model of car?
Thanks guys!

The dx came with the sunroof option. As for checking stuff out, with old hondas you're gonna wanna ask when the cv's were done because those tend to go out pretty quickly on 5th gens, check all the regular stuff, and ask where the swap was done, if he did it himself, check to make sure the car works properly. Otherwise if you have any doubts that you can't check yourself, get it checked at a shop

I'm pretty sure that the DX model didn't come with a sunroof from the factory, so the chances are greater that it's an aftermarket. If you're sunroof switch is overhead, then it is definitely aftermarket.
Definitely agree with Civvy. Most importantly, you'll want to give it a test drive. If the cv's are going, you'll notice a clicking noise when you accelerate around a turn.
If this guy did the engine swap himself, then he's probably pretty knowledgable about the car. If you're remotely familiar with what's under the hood, take a look at it with him. Check for any fluid leaks too.
