Rep Power: 0 Fuel Injector Help
Okay so I got a list of things I am adding to my rebuild. I keep running across the injector size. D16z6's injectors are 240cc right? Well I was wondering if I should get a bigger injector size, since I am going performance wise. I am not going the Turbo route, But Nitrous in the long run. So far I got these parts
Stage 2 Crower cam
High Compression(milled head, about .010 off)
Flat bottom Ferra Valves
Titanium retainers
Zex Springs & seats
Valve Guides
(Thats about it for the head)
Edelbrock Performer X intake
I also got
May go +.20 on the pistons, depending on block condition.
Pistons
Rings
Bearing
Eagle H beam Rods
Stage 3 clutch & pressure plate
Light weight Chromoly Flywheel
along with some other things that dont really matter for fuel consumption.
I was thinking since I am upgrading to a Stage 2 cam, Perhaps a few more cc's for the injectors? Not only that, But what if I must bore my engine out. Wouldn't it be smarter to have the oversized injectors? Also, If I do get oversized injectors, do I need to get anything to remap my fuel intake? Or will the ecu automatically detect how much cc's of fuel are being pushed into the engine and mix it correctly, Air:Fuel. Or, Once I get my engine rebuilt, should I take a chunk of change and buy one of them fancy Tuners? :P Hondata or some other one. (I know that will be the last step, to the finish. Honestly, wanted to buy a laptop just for my car, since I got it)
