Re: AEM Intake mani problem HELP
I still can't figure out why there would be extra plugs if its the right intake for the motor, it might be a spot for an extra after-market sensor but even that doesn't make much sense.
Re: AEM Intake mani problem HELP
yea,idk,i just really want this thing on my civic,the guy had it on his but i didnt get to see how it was hooked up,im starting to wonder if this is even made by aem or if thats just a sticker put on there,bc there are spots where its coming off.......I REALLY NEED HELP
Re: AEM Intake mani problem HELP
on pic #4 that hose near the firewall,basically it runs from one side of the intake to the other,dont know why but it does.idk whats up,maybe i cant tie some of the lines in together?idk im stumped
Re: AEM Intake mani problem HELP
ok so i think i almost have this thing figured out,the two big ports on the back of the new intake i think that is for the hose on pic #4 bc that hose runs from one side of the intake to the other,but i dont know about the small opening on the new intake,plus what about the hoses on the front,can they be tied in together?

Re: AEM Intake mani problem HELP
I really wish we could be more help, but not many people here have that intake/engine. We should be able to help you with most other problems though, so I hope you haven't been put off this forum by the lack of responses in this thread.

Re: AEM Intake mani problem HELP
i know what you mean, cars are the most frustrating thing in my life.
Try posting on Honda-Tech, they're pretty harsh on new members sometimes but they might be able to help you. I tried searching around looking for an install guide for the intake, but AEM doesn't even make it. I think someone slapped a sticker on there..

@OP
I dont think anyone's ever seen or heard of an AEM intake mani for 7th gens, let alone installing one, you should have looked at your friend's car before pulling it if you dont know where the hoses go. or maybe even have him take a look at how to hook it up.
By comparison, this is a Skunk2 intake mani for civics

Comparing that one, I'm guessing yours is some sort of ebay chrome wannabe intake mani with an AEM sticker on it.
And judging by the skunk2 intake mani, looks like about 4 or 5 hoses are attached to it. I guess you'll have to trace where your original hoses are on your stock mani and plug em in using your judgement.
Sorry we couldnt have been anymore help
