power steering

for some reason twice in the past year my power steering fluid has found its way out of the right side of the steering rack???

anyways for the time being i want to put some stop leak in the system to maybe keep this from happening again. Is there one recommended stop leak for hondas since they require a special steering fluid?

Re: power steering

not really the best idea, have u checked ur boots and all the lines to see if they were leaking on that side, could be something cheap and easy to fix.

Re: power steering

you using honda fluid right? if so, then you may need a new rack. hard to say without seeing pics of where and how much fluid. generally, stop leak additives rarely work and usually cause more problem.

Re: power steering

yes i use honda fluid

my right boot is ripped and its coming from there, something inside obviously busted. Ill probably get around to trying to fix any seals that are in there but was just wondering if some stop leak would help for the mean time.

are there seal rebuild kits for racks?
