85-87 honda civic relay problem

the lights dim (headlights, dashlights, and dome light), the heater stops, and seems to loose all power when anything is used. its like the battery is drained completey and stops running. but when all the accessorys are turned off idles and runs great. accessory relay? or whats the deal

first off your battery isnt being used once you idling its all the alternator. start by having that tested at your local advanced auto. Sounds like the culprate.

yeah its not the alternator already was tested. and the battery is being drained because it dies and wont start

...that sucks... do u have a sound system.. amp and ****.. if u do then u might need to get a capacitor to help store the powere while ur system is on... and it will keep your lights from dimming.. and ****

yeah it just has a stock radio. it drives fine if the lights and accessories arent on but thirty mins or less it starts dying after i use anything

sounds like youve got some weak wires somewhere id trace them. You wouldnt happen to have any toggle switches or anything hooked up would you? The wire that comes from the alternator to the fuse box (at least in 92-95 it does) wont show up in a voltage test, try checking that and make sure its not broken or dropping voltage.
