Im a noob
im 15 and 1/2, my dad jut bought me a 95' civic ex coupe in green, its 100% stock and i know a little about cars, sooo i was wondering if you guys would have any suggestions for any easy or cheap mods like under $300. What were your guys first mods? Sorry i didnt put a picture up, but i didnt have a camera and my phone sucks lol. thanks alot you guys.
Re: Im a noob
Like said above you still need to check the maintenance on it meaning, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, change oil, oil filter, tranni fluid, valve adjustment, check anti-freeze, and other things. And since you are young you should learn how to drive first before you start modding your car.

And if you try and go cheap on mods, you'll end up with one of 2 results: a hella gnarsty, ricey-looking car or a bunch of headaches and a lot of money wasted replacing mods with other mods. There is a difference between finding cheap mods and finding the best deals on mods.
We're not trying to be condescending, but for real, learn to drive first. You probably barely have a permit.
Re: Im a noob
thats true,., i do barely have my permit, but i didnt mean cheap in like that, i just meant something thats not gunna cost me a arm and a leg, mostly cosmetic things. im not trying to get a turbo or engine swap or anything. thankyou though

Even trying to get the most cost efficient (again, different than best deals) cosmetic things can cause headaches. For instance, cheap LED things will have cheap LEDs that will burn out and will cause you to spend more money replacing them. Cheap body parts will be cheaply made and will break, or won't fit right, and will cost extra just to get them to look like they fit nicely. Just do a bunch of research before committing to buying something.
Re: Im a noob
I say do a good tune up (basically what 02civic02 was saying) on the engine, brakes, and fluids. Check the timing belt and make sure it is in good condition. All of that should give you a couple more horses and will make your car more efficient and reliable.
