auto to 5spd conversion
ok i new to site and civic world ok i got a 93 civic dx and got a bad trans so gonna swap to 5spd what all do i need to do other getting linkage and clutch master and slave cylinder and trans and flywheel and a mount ? need help and post with pic from a diy would be nice
Re: auto to 5spd conversion
Everything that you need is of course the tranni, clutch pedal, brake pedal, clutch master cylinder complete assemby (clutch master, slave cylinder, booster, push rod), passenger side mount, shifter assembly, shift cables/ shift rod which ever is needed, flywheel, clutch assembly, and a ecu. I think I covered it all there.
Re: auto to 5spd conversion
ok the only thing i confused about is how to hook up the shifter to floor cause i seen few ppl cut some of floor so what do i need to do i thought it was easy to just swap out auto shifter for 5spd so need pic an or a link to good diy thanks
Re: auto to 5spd conversion
all you need a hole cut in for is the clutch basically. Some models have a hole already, but a plug is in place. All i know really is that 92-95 EG models are a biatch cause of the master/slave cyl. hydrualic clutch system. Thats why i have a good ol' cable clutch in my 91 hb dx. lol
Good luck with the swap if you go through with it!
