I am in the process of rebuilding a D15B7 (16 valve) for my wife's civic. The previous owner trashed the motor and blew the head gasket and almost destroyed the rod and main bearings ( already had pieces of bearings in oil pan ) I have had the head checked by Dover cylinder heads and everything checked out good except some valves weren't sealing. Is there another head that i can swap onto here without any modification to electronics and w/o losing anymore hp since this engine doesn't have much to spare? And will the timing covers from another series engine work for the D15? maybe off a later gen D16 ? I need to replace both inner and outer timing covers. The previous owner overheated it so bad it melted them to the head. Any info on what years or engines i can salvage parts from would be a huge help to my rebuild process.
