Rebuild Possible?
Rebuild Possible?
Hi All, I'm new here and would hope to become a regular!
First off, I have/had a 93 VX (HB) that was unfortunately totaled by in the last snowstorm in February. The front driver side fender was T-boned in a parking lot. Basically the whole nose as pushed over to the passenger side. My insurance company totaled it. I still have it and want to re-build as a project. I need to either straighten the frame/replace front frame supports. Should I attempt a tear down to get started? Or is this a fatal blow? I thougt straightening the frame with some re-enforcement and new panels would do it. I was going to use this oportunity to rebuild the transmission and engine and check all other components on the car.
If I need to replace the frame supports in front, can I use any 92-95 civic or does it need to be a HB? Anyone know a good place for parts near Philadelphia PA? Any suggestions on the re-build?
thanks!

Re: Rebuild Possible?
Once the frame is bent it's pretty well a lost cause. Even if you straighten it and fix it, the car will never run the same as it used to and it will aggitate you. You can find another one that hasn't been totaled for pretty cheap, just buy it and build it.
