I finally got past the break in period. I still don't beat the car, but there's NO POWER below 3k rpm. As soon as I hit 500miles I took it as far as 6k. It's still very different from the Rabbit, but at least I don't feel like the lady with the walker is going to pass me.

Guess that might be helpful huh? Just got a '10 Civic Ex. Still getting used to it. The differences between it and the Rabbit are insane. Just the way the accelerator works is night and day. I'm starting to appreciate it more now that I can accelerate like I did before.

if you take care of them they will run forever. i had an 89 crx and u can beat on them to bits and they still hold together. the great thing is that you dont have to worry bout the gas pedal sticking lol

This is my first Honda, never heard anything really bad about them, just lost interest in the Civic for a few years when they made it more girl friendly. It's still softer than they used to be, but it's better. It drives really smooth and I averaged 30mpg over the first 500 miles. If it manages to improve on that like most other cars do, I'll be alright.

It's a lease so mods will be minimal if any. The sub sounds awesome though. For some reason I thought the Ex came with 6 speakers. Really wish there were tweeters to help the highs keep up with the sub.
Definitely did not get it for the power. Really wouldn't have even looked at it had my brother not been the one to sell it to me.
