89 budjet hatch back questions

Last summer I picked up an 89 hatch dx w/1.5 solid car out of Georga, being in the north east this was a good find, totally rust free and the price was right(0$)
I picked this car up for Auto Cross racing and last summer my son and I ran this car in stock mode with only a cheapo e-bay lowering kit and a set of 15 205 60's on it.
We ran quite competetively in our class running only 1 sec slower than the fastest cars thought the coarse.
I am working on a set up for this car that is low budjet,so far this is what I have done:
installed: Si front sway bar
acura rear sway bar
4 new KYB gr2 struts
New set of Tien lower springs
front and rear camber kits
upper and lower front and rear strut supports
I noticed I had a lot of side movement in the rear trailing arm bushings so I picked up a pair or energy suspension bushings,They did not come with any mounting cross shaft.Do I resure the stock ones or do I need to find a pair of those. Also any advice on the easieset way the replace those bushings.

from what I have been told, this 89 is the lightest civic built so it looks like a good starting point, I am not planning on a engine swap this year and I turning my attention and dollars to the handling aspects of it first.
With a stock 1.5 with 230 k on it i feel I can stilll be competative for one more season. This motor still gets me 35-40mpg one the road.

One more ? for this post, There is a crank case breather type box mounted under the intake, last year we had the vent from the valve cover to that box thingy break off at the box. to stop the oil leak I just stuck a wooden dowel in the hole(side of the road repair) has anyone found a way to by pass this box or do I need to find a replacement. Thanks for reading this post and any input would be appriciated as I am new to this and a new member to this forum. Den
