ED6 D15B Engine Questions
ED6 D15B Engine Questions
Hi. I've been told that there's not much you can do to get more power from these engines. I was thinking a while back of getting extractors and a bigger exhaust for my ED6, until my boss (a honda mechanic for 40 years) told me they weren't widely available and that whatever ppl seem to try on these engines they end up going slower. Is this all bullgarb or is there some truth to it? I have a 1990 model.

Re: ED6 D15B Engine Questions
Well for starters its not a d15b its an d15b2. big differnce. It is a daul point fuel injection set up on this car. you could do the multiport intake manifold swap and then from there the sky is the limit. We put on an home made turbo kit on one and made 225whp. so yea do a search on here and if you cant find what you want to learn check out honda-tech.com. you will deff find it out there, but do a search first then ask questions. hope this helps you a bit.

Re: ED6 D15B Engine Questions
Cheers mate. As far as i know it runs twin SU carbies not a fuel injection set-up. (The engine # is D15B414####.) I'd like to keep it carby too. Not a fan of fuel injection.
I don't want huge power as it's my daily, my fun car's a datsun. Just hoping to free the airflow up a little.
Also, i've searched and could not find any mention of these engines. do they go by another name?
