'93 LX soundproofing question
'93 LX soundproofing question
First of all, I've read the DIYs, I realize I'm new and this is my first post, so we can just get past those two points right away.
I think I'm finally done Dynamatting, around the speakers, the whole door panel and inside the door directly behind the speakers, as far as humanly possible to reach.
I've had to use some foam tape on some connecting metal parts, and I've eliminated practically all rattle (which is a feat itself for a '93!).
The only issue left is the door trim. When I play some extremely low dB bass, I can hear an intense rattle from outside the car. Upon pressing my hand against the door, it stops, and after moving around I have found out that upon applying a small amount of pressure to the very edge of the door trim on the driver's side, closest to the front side panel, the noise stops. How would I combat this? I DO NOT wish to take off the trim as I've heard once you do it's near impossible to replace it, and the gap between the end of the trim and the metal is approx. 2mm, so I'm not sure if I could spray any foam inside of there.
Anyone else had this issue or have any solutions they think might work? I'm very antsy to get this job done as I've been soundproofing for a while and had that damn panel off near 100 times lol.
