Overheating Problem

1998 Honda Civic, The coolant goes into the overflow but will not go back into the radiator when the car is cooled off. The amount of coolant that goes into the overflow is what I need to put back into the radiator for it to be full again. I have replaced the radiator, coolant temp sensor, pressure tested it (no leaks), head gasket test (passed), radiator cap, boiled the thermostat to open and close it (pass). Mechanic also pressure tested it and head gasket checked it and both were fine he said. I let the car sit over night and the next morning I took off the radiator cap and there still pressure in the system and you could hear gurgling happening. My next thing I was going to replace is the water pump just cause it's never been done. Any ideas?

Re: Overheating Problem

Head gasket.

Honda's like to pass the test but push the coolant into the overflow.

Re: Overheating Problem

Head gasket.
It only passes all your checks because you aren't doing the right checks.
