So I'm new to the Honda world. Bought the wifey a 96 civic coupé ex m/t. She has always wanted one. She found one on Craig'slist for $1400. It has some coilovers and 16s. We test drove it everything was good. Ran grate for what it is Lol. Turns out the guy had pulled the block and head. Put in a d16y7 block and d16y7 non vtec head. But he put all the d16y8 parts such as I/m, fuel rail, dizzy, the works, so basically it's all stock d16y8 parts other than the head and block. even the ecm is the p2p. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? It runs good. Gets good gas mileage but no vtec Lol.
