98 Civic Gen 6 - HELLLLLLLLPP!!
Newbie here !!
My daughter has a 98 Civic DX 4 cyl Gen 6 - the car runs and then after about 15-20 min it just shuts off. The tach jumps to about 3,000RPM and then it just shuts off. After pulling to the side of the road and waiting 2 min - it starts right back up and does the same thing after 15 min or so. Anyone have any idea how to fix this - the car only has 86k on it and I replaced the fuel filter already.
** Side note - her car was stolen about 15 months ago and they broke the ignition and jammed a flathead in the keyhole to get the car started - The ignition was replaced once the vehicle was recovered.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
