1999 Civic LX (Gen 6) general questions

I found a Civic OM and service manual online and downloaded them. I see conflicting information on service items in normal service conditions between the two sources.

The OM says:
A service at 7500 miles (oil change only, rotate tires)
B service at 15,000 miles (oil and filter change plus some visual inspections -I don't know anyone who doesn't change the filter with the oil, but whatever)
C service at 30,000 miles (air filter, spark plugs, check valve clearances)
Coolant change at 45k miles, then every 30k miles thereafter.
Brake fluid and transmission fluid (auto and/or manual?) at 90k miles.
105k miles, timing belt and water pump and coolant.

The FSM says:
Oil every 6k miles
Oil and filter at 12k miles
Air filter at 20k miles
Valve clearances at 24k miles
Fuel filter at 24k miles
Spark plugs at 24k miles
TB and WP at 60k miles
Coolant at 120k miles/10 years
Manual tranny fluid at 72k miles (same as the auto!)
Brake fluid at 3 years

Is there any consensus on these?

My 2006 Pilot and 2008 Ridgeline share similar service intervals between them and they seem consistent between the OM and the FSM:
oil changes at 6500-7000 miles (Maintenance Minder),
auto tranny fluid changes every other OCI (my personal decision),
VTM-4 fluid at 30k miles (MM),
transfer assembly hypoid gear oil at 30k miles (MM),
power steering every 50k miles (another personal thing),
brake fluid every 3 years,
Coolant at 60k miles (personal thing)
air filters at 30k miles (MM),
TB/WP/hydraulic tensioner, spark plugs, valves adjusted. and radiator and coolant change at 105k miles (but I do it at 120k... personal thing), etc.

I prefer to do my own routine maintenance. The Civic will be different for me. I'll miss having a central front and rear jack point so I can slide my floor jack under and jack up the entire front or rear so I can put my jackstands under each side at the pinch welds.

Where is a safe place to jack the front and rear so I can do this? How do you DIY guys put it up on 4 jackstands?

most is just about right but make sure you use synthetic oil, regular oils are normally changed at 3k miles. there is a jack point on the side. i used 2 floor jacks to put my car on 4 jack stands. one on each side

If you have a tow hook in the front and rear use that to lift the car.

3k miles even on conventional oil is low. I would take it to 5k or 7500. Does the OM have a severe driving section and regular driving?

Follow the manual that has more frequent service intervals. Your car will thank you.

If your cars manual calls for synthetic, then use synthetic only. If your cars calls for conventional, then use conventional oil or synthetic. Synthetic will last longer.

I jack from any load bearing structure and put jack stands under the jack spots. Then I give it a good shake before I crawl underneath, to make sure it's secure.

Valve adjustment at 105K miles? I'm sure its more like 30K miles for check and adjust if necessary.
