Best clutch?

96 EX
Oem clutch is pricey, aftermarket obviously cheaper, but how much cheaper? How much am I sacrificing in quality? It's my daily driver, no mods. Fuel economy is my goal. Is a stage 1 clutch better quality than the oem? What about the throw out bearing? I have heard sometimes they're not so good. What about an aluminum or lightweight flywheel? Is that overdoing it???

Re: Best clutch?

Get an Exedy OEM equivalent clutch. No need for stage 1, standard clutch is best for drivability. Light weight flywheel is great for matching revs on the downshift and is lighter to turn. Could be worth the extra money to you but a resurfaced OEM is all you need.
